PARTNER WITH THE PLACE OF GRACE CHURCH
RESCUE SHELTER OUTREACH MINISTRY
PLACE OF GRACE CAMPUS SERVES A DIVERSE COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE WHO OFTEN FACE LIFE’S EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES – MANY OF WHOM ARE HOMELESS – AND WINTER IS THE MOST DIFFICULT TIME FOR THEM. EACH YEAR, WE OPEN A RESCUE SHELTER MINISTRY FROM NOVEMBER THROUGH FEBRUARY TO PROVIDE
SHELTER FOR UP TO 30 MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN BEGINNING AT 5:30 P.M. ON DAYS WHEN TEMPERATURES FALL BELOW 40 DEGREES.
WE TAKE THESE OPPORTUNITIES TO SHARE THE LOVE OF JESUS AND GOD’S PROVISION AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. A HOT MEAL IS SERVED, AND GUESTS ARE MINISTERED TO WITH PRAYER AND THE GOSPEL MESSAGE. OUR GATE CLOSES AT 8:30 P.M. FOR SAFETY. BREAKFAST IS SERVED BEFORE THE SHELTER AREA REOPENS, AND OUR GUESTS DEPART BY 7 A.M.
CHURCH GROUPS, COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS, BUSINESSES, AND FAMILIES ARE WELCOME TO JOIN IN THIS OUTREACH MINISTRY BY SELECTING ONE OR MORE "MEAL TRAIN" DATES - THIS MEANS PROVIDING AND SERVING THE EVENING MEAL, LEADING A TIME OF DEVOTION AND PRAYER, AND THEN MAINTAINING
SUPERVISION OF THE RESCUE MISSION SHELTER AREA FROM 6 PM TO 10 PM NIGHTLY UNTIL THE GATES ARE CLOSED.
COLD WEATHER DONATION NEEDS ARE: GARBAGE BAGS, TOTE BAGS, PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS, BLANKETS,
TWIN-SIZED SHEETS, LAUNDRY SOAP, AND WARM-WEATHER CLOTHING ITEMS OF ANY SIZE FOR MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN (HATS, SCARVES, GLOVES, COATS, SOCKS, ETC.). MONETARY DONATIONS ARE USED TO COVER THE COST OF SECURITY, TRASH COLLECTION, PEST CONTROL, MEALS, WATER FOR HYGIENE AND WASHING CLOTHES, AND ELECTRICITY FOR LIGHTS AND HEAT.
PLEASE DIRECT YOUR QUESTIONS TO OUR LEAD PASTOR, GARY RICHARDSON, AT 910-206-2339 OR PASTORGARY@POGCAMPUS.COM
AND THE KING WILL ANSWER AND SAY TO THEM, ‘ASSUREDLY, I SAY TO YOU, INASMUCH AS YOU DID IT
TO ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE MY BRETHREN, YOU DID IT TO ME.’ MATTHEW 25:40 NKJV
